VIP Dinner_Doshi Opening Event

Development of a design concept for a VIP dinner at the Vitra Campus (Fire Station)

The VIP dinner was held to mark the opening of the Doshi Retreat, an installation designed by Pritzker Prize winner Balkrishna Doshi in collaboration with his granddaughter Khushnu Panthaki Hoof. Inspired by Indian spirituality, the structure invites visitors on a journey through spaces and sounds, leading them to a place of contemplation. The Doshi Retreat is Doshi's first project outside India – and also the last one he worked on before his death in 2023. The design concept for the VIP dinner translated the colours and shapes of the Doshi Retreat and the atmosphere of the Indian festival of lights, Diwali, into a contemporary European aesthetic.
